Wendy Norburg, Principal

I am humbled and honored to lead and serve as the principal of Mesquite Elementary. As a part of Gilbert Public Schools since 1999 I have had the opportunity to serve as a teacher, instructional coach, and dean. The majority of my time has been spent in the classroom and it is this time that I am most grateful to be able to draw from as an instructional leader.

Mesquite Elementary believes in developing strong relationships between students, staff, and community. Student safety is best achieved when strong relationships built on trust are formed. Rigorous and relevant lessons are the goal each day as students and staff work together to achieve academic success. We are truly better together and Mesquite Elementary is a community that lives this out each day!

Mesquite Elementary has always been a special place to me as it is where I completed my student teaching and began my teaching career. I am grateful for the opportunity to return to Mesquite and give back to a community that gave so much to me as a beginning educator.
